This is insane! Literally! 😵
This movie's freaking twisted in every sense of it. It was so loco sometimes that it even makes you feel like you are the twisted one here. Fractured tells the story of a troubled couple on a road trip. We could see on the spot the relationship is not going well between Ray and Joanne Monroe. This whole drama situation let us know what we are about to witness is a thriller film.
Upper left (Peri Monroe), upper right (Joanne Monroe)
down (Ray Monroe)
This is the kind of movie that makes itself understandable once it is concluded, so you've got to work on getting what's going on while watching. The FRACTURE, that's how I name all this madness, starts when Peri (Ray and Joanne's daughter) got injured from a fall caused by a threatening dog. The very first scenes are important to get acquainted with Ray. We fleetingly see how Ray is an alcoholic in a very quick frame at the pit stop.
This scene takes place at a pit stop and it is very sad
The sequences we appreciate here are relevant to the plot: she gets distracted and is threatened by a dog and her father tries to save her, but all of a sudden, he and his daughter are just falling off. When he wakes up, he (and us viewers) feel something different. Despite the fall, Peri survived as well as Ray, they got injured (of course). The anguish made Ray rush to the emergency room and he insists on being treated at a hospital near his location.
As you can see, this is a regular and pretty normal hospital like any other, however, that's not enough to our now disturbed Ray. He sensed a terribly amiss in this place. For Ray, they're being treated at this hospital is unusual, the time, the place, the nurses, the doctors, and the patients kept Ray guessing about what was real. Something very strange is cooking and he must protect his family at any cost.
This image showed sternly lets Ray suspect the hospital is on the red market (organ trade). Now, he must fight to prove to the police and doctors his sanity after being inculpated for murder. Under this tragic event, he must now resort to violence to save his wife and daughter but is it true the hospital trades organs? or is he really insane? Nothing is what it seems😈
Many scenes show how emotionally damaged the characters are, such as Joanne constantly repeating “You're doing great” and "do something" to Ray or flashbacks of Ray's earlier trauma with his old family. The captivating thing about this film is to see how from one moment to another nothing seems real, but in the next moment everything makes sense and seems "logical".
