The Mitchells vs the machines (2021) 🤖
FUN! FUN! FUN! Loved it!!!! You'll see the reason I gave it 5 stars. One of the best movies I've seen this year so far.
This time we have as our main character, Katie Mitchell, who is a member of a somewhat dysfunctional family, the Mitchells. She introduces herself as a young aspiring filmmaker (BTW, a field where she is really funny) who is incomprehensible to her entire family, even sometimes her little dino-lover brother too, Aaron Mitchell. She kind of seeks some sort of validation from her family.
THE MITCHELLS FAMILY👨👩👧👦
Let's move on to the other members of this cracked family, on one hand, we have Linda Mitchell, the type of mother who would burn the world down or in an instance not be compassionate to those robots that hurt her kids, basically she is a sweet mother bear. On the other hand, we have Rick Mitchell, a full of personality, vivacious, and know-how-to-solve-everything-with-a-number-3-Robertson-head-non-slip-screwdriver kind of father (too many adjectives, I don't know if it's grammatically correct in English). But it is a big one, He does not understand his daughter who is going to college soon so she can get rid of them. And this part is what this is all about, them trying to get closer and be more comprehensible to each other.

The situation of her father breaking her laptop after a disagreement somehow leads to a road trip to make things up and get along begins when Katie gets accepted into film school in California, she wants to get there as soon as possible by plane but everything ended up in a plot twist where the Mitchells have to go across The USA to California state.
On the road, they find themselves safely confined in a road stop Café while the humans are being "wiped out" by Pal robots with kill-mankind code, basically, they find themselves on the brink of human extinction caused by Robots. But not everything is almost lost, fortunately, they came upon these two defectives Pal robots that are disposed towards helping the Mitchells save humanity💪🏻.
"Connected", as it was priorly named, mixes so many elements verbally and visually found in general culture these days such as old and new memes, spontaneous funny doodles on screen, and sketches that make everything for sure look hilarious for us viewers (sort of that animation we see in Spider-man into the spider-verse).
The narrative cycle ends with the Mitchells realizing there are many ways of understanding that you cannot understand, before all else, when it involves your immediate family. It is a lovely letter to family💞
"Families can be hard, but they're so worth fighting for. They might be one of the only things that are."
- Katie Mitchell
The Mitchells vs the machines is a warlike movie that has that humorous reference of two different ends working on approaching in some way like Katie and her dad fighting for that little mutual comprehension. Along the learning, they only seem to see their flaws and pretend to improve relationships from that. We feel Katie when she says:
Letting us know, that they might be flawed but they are still heroes
RATE: 5/5
