2067 (2020) ☠️
Yeah! some of a futuristic apocalyptic story we can equate if we don't save the planet. No kidding, save the planet🌐
Like every other dystopian film, this one starts letting us know how the world is ending and how mankind sees themselves at bay
in a small piece of the Earth. A catastrophic event caused by global massive deforestation
is the reason that keeps humankind confined. They fictionally reached the end
of the world where vegetation is no longer a privilege.
Ethan Whyte, the main character
Despite the film itself is an allegorical warning of what could be a true cataclysm of extinct levels, the story is based on the mysteries surrounding the main character, Ethan Whyte. His life takes an extremely radical change (seriously) when Ethan is recruited for a mission to rescue humanity, but beyond that, also in search of answers to a specific message received from the future that requires the presence of him (it is worth mentioning, this is a future in which there are supposed to be no humans, that's where everything becomes curious).
Some sequences of Ethan discovering the new world
Once he arrived at that specific time in the future when he's supposed to find answers and bring humankind back to normal (What a weight on his shoulders!), everything turns gloomy even when there is actual nature around. Seeing his corpse from a future past let him know he "was" there before and it didn't end up well. The bewilderment, the terrifying discovery of his past corpse, and the vivid and constant memories of his past kept Ethan in a state of unease.
It doesn't take too much time to realize the plan secretly devised to only save a group of people in the new world, and this leads him to go against orders. Without being aware of it, this journey has helped him rehab and mend past grief. He became stronger and disposed to follow his truth. Ethan is the key to the salvation of humanity.
The best decision he could've made✨
Ok, let's leave it right here, I don't want to spoil anything else about this movie. At this point, you must know my main element in these reviews is "judge by yourselves". My last words are: SAVE THE PLANET🏞️, regrettably, we don't have time travelers (we don't know that yet👀) nor another planet when this one worsens.
RATE: 2/5
⭐⭐
"While the movie has some great visuals and the story is intriguing for a while, it's pretty over the top, over-explained, and ultimately not very good."
